About this opportunity

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for new truck tires under Purchase Order 2098668, posted on April 8, 2026, with a submission deadline of April 15, 2026. The procurement requires vendors to supply tires that meet DART's specifications and quality standards, with all bids reflecting FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price. Deliverables must comply with merchantable quality standards and all product descriptions referenced in the purchase order, and sellers are required to provide the most favorable commercial warranties offered to any customer. Critical to this procurement is adherence to strict delivery schedules, as time and rate of deliveries are essential to the order, and failure to meet specified delivery requirements constitutes grounds for rejection and default termination. Invoices must be submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org within 30 days of delivery or receipt of the order, whichever is later, and must include the purchase order number, item number, description, sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. Vendors must be certified as compliant with Texas Comptroller requirements regarding foreign terrorist organization connections and must not participate in boycotts of Israel.

The solicitation documents do not explicitly identify set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise preferences, or restrictions limiting bidder eligibility based on organizational type or size classification. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the available procurement materials. The contract is governed by Texas law with venue in Dallas County, and DART is exempt from Texas state and local sales and use taxes, meaning any such taxes included on invoices will be deducted from payment amounts. Specific award values and budget ranges are not disclosed in the available procurement documentation, and bidders must access the complete details and BidTable through the Bonfire registration system by initiating the "Prepare Your Submission" process to view project specifications and respond to vendor response fields.

In such event, the Seller shall be liable for damages, including the excess cost of reprocuring similar supplies or services or completing construction; provided that, if (i) it is determined for any reason that the Seller was not in default, or (ii) the Seller's failure to perform is without his and his subcontractor's control, fault, or negligence, the termination shall be deemed to be a termination for convenience under paragraph 12.
