About this opportunity

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is procuring new fire extinguishers, specifically Amerex 5LB ABC model units (item number 2097649), through a purchase order process open to qualified vendors. This procurement is a straightforward goods purchase for safety equipment with a bid submission deadline of January 27, 2026, posted on January 23, 2026. Vendors must submit bids through the BONFIRE registration system, which requires vendors to access the in-browser BidTable to view complete project details and submit their responses. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall quoted price, and timely delivery is essential to contract performance, with failure to meet specified delivery schedules serving as grounds for rejection and default termination. Invoices must be submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org and include the purchase order number, item number, description, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. Payment will be made on a Net 30 basis, calculated from either the date of invoice receipt or order receipt, whichever is later. The procurement is governed by DART's standard Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, which establish all vendor engagement requirements, performance standards, and contractual obligations.

The procurement documents do not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions limiting responses to particular business categories, disadvantaged enterprises, or minority-owned vendors, suggesting that the opportunity is open to all qualified suppliers capable of meeting DART's requirements. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the available documentation, and no existing infrastructure or technology integration requirements are noted for this straightforward fire extinguisher purchase. The award value or total budget allocation for this procurement is not disclosed in the publicly available materials. All applicable federal, state, and local taxes must be included in the quoted price, with DART exempt from Texas sales and use taxes. Vendors responding to this solicitation must comply with equal opportunity provisions, certifications regarding foreign terrorist organizations and Israel boycotts, and acknowledge that the contract will be governed by Texas law with venue in Dallas County.
