About this opportunity

Dallas County's Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is seeking procurement of a NEW CIRCUIT BREAKER, HIGH-SPEED COMPLETE, with solicitation number 2095879. The opportunity is currently open, with proposals due on November 10, 2025, and requires mandatory Bonfire registration to access complete bidding details. This procurement emphasizes urgent acquisition, with award decisions based on a combination of pricing and vendor availability to ensure timely fulfillment. Vendors must submit comprehensive responses including item availability, delivery timelines, and pricing, with a specific focus on meeting DART's operational requirements. All submissions must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price, and vendors are required to demonstrate capability to deliver circuit breakers meeting the agency's technical specifications. Evaluation will prioritize vendors who can meet strict delivery schedules, as DART explicitly states that time and delivery rate are essential components of the order, with potential for rejection or default termination for failure to meet specified delivery parameters.

The procurement appears to have standard competitive bidding practices without explicit set-aside designations for disadvantaged businesses. Potential respondents must comply with comprehensive purchase order terms and conditions, including critical vendor certifications such as affirming no contracts with foreign terrorist organizations and commitment to non-discrimination practices. Payment terms are structured as Net 30, with invoices to be submitted electronically to APInvoices@dart.org and including specific documentation like purchase order number, item details, quantities, and pricing. While specific budget ranges are not disclosed, the solicitation suggests a competitive procurement process governed by Texas state law and Dallas County jurisdictional guidelines. Vendors must also demonstrate compliance with equal opportunity employment practices, avoid conflicts of interest with public officials, and be prepared for potential legal disputes to be adjudicated under Texas state law. The procurement process requires meticulous attention to administrative and technical details to ensure successful bid submission and potential contract award.
