About this opportunity

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for the procurement of a new circuit breaker rated at 6000A and 800V through a purchase order process. This opportunity is posted under Dallas County jurisdiction in Texas and requires Bonfire registration to access complete bid details and the response BidTable. The primary deliverable is a single electrical component—a high-capacity circuit breaker suitable for transit authority infrastructure applications. Bidders must comply with DART's standard Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, which establish binding commercial and operational requirements for all responses. The bid due date is May 4, 2026, with the posting date of April 27, 2026. Evaluation criteria emphasize adherence to delivery timelines, pricing competitiveness, and compliance with shipping and payment terms. No specific site visit, bidders' meeting, or question submission deadline is explicitly detailed in the available documentation, though interested parties should consult the full Bonfire posting for any such requirements.

All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs fully incorporated into the overall quoted price; DART does not accept FOB Origin or Prepay and Add arrangements. Vendors selected for award must meet Net 30 payment terms, submit invoices in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org with complete itemization including purchase order number, description, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals, and guarantee timely delivery at the specified rate, as failure to meet delivery schedules constitutes grounds for rejection and default termination. Additional compliance requirements include certification of equal opportunity commitment, verification of non-boycott of Israel, confirmation of non-association with foreign terrorist organizations, and submission of invoices within 30 days of receipt or 30 days from order date, whichever is later. No specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises or women/minority-owned businesses are mentioned in the available documentation, nor are incumbent vendors or specific budget ranges disclosed. Interested vendors should access the full posting on Bonfire to obtain complete commercial and technical specifications, terms and conditions, and any additional qualification or evaluation criteria.
