About this opportunity
Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is seeking to procure a Circuit Breaker, specifically a 6000A, 800V model, through a competitive bidding process. The procurement opportunity is posted for Dallas County, Texas, with bids due by September 11, 2025. Potential vendors must complete registration through the Bonfire platform to access detailed bid specifications and submit responses. The procurement is structured as a purchase order with strict delivery and performance expectations, where time and rate of deliveries are considered essential elements of the contract. Vendors must submit bids reflecting FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall pricing, and DART will not typically accept alternative shipping arrangements. All submitted bids must comply with DART's comprehensive Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, which outline detailed requirements for product quality, delivery, invoicing, and contractual performance.
While no specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are explicitly mentioned in the available documentation, vendors must meet several critical qualifications and compliance standards. DART requires vendors to provide merchantable quality goods suitable for their intended purpose and comply with all specified product specifications. The payment terms are standardized at Net 30, with invoices to be submitted electronically to APInvoices@dart.org and include specific detailed information such as purchase order number, item description, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. The Authority reserves the right to terminate the contract for default if vendors fail to meet specified performance provisions. Although a specific award value is not disclosed, vendors should be prepared to provide competitive pricing for the high-amperage circuit breaker while meeting DART's stringent technical and procedural requirements. Additionally, vendors must certify compliance with various business conduct standards, including restrictions on doing business with foreign terrorist organizations.
