About this opportunity

Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) is seeking to procure a sole source contract with the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) for comprehensive entrepreneurship education programs targeting middle and high school students. The procurement encompasses a digital entrepreneurship curriculum, including the ESB Prep curriculum for Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses, aimed at helping students develop entrepreneurial skills and prepare for industry certification. Specific deliverables include teacher training, the Entrepreneurial Mindset Index (EMI), digital instructional materials, student competitions, mentoring programs, and access to various online courses and resources such as the Canvas Learning Management System, Start It Up Self-Paced Course, and World Series of Innovation. The procurement notice was posted on April 24, 2025, with a response deadline of May 2, 2025, and a subsequent protest period from May 5-7, 2025. Interested firms must demonstrate capability to meet or exceed NFTE's requirements by uploading documentation through www.myvendorlink.com within seven calendar days of the publication date.

The sole source procurement appears to have no specific set-aside designations or restrictions on responding organizations beyond the requirement to provide clear documentation of capability to match NFTE's comprehensive entrepreneurship education offerings. NFTE is positioned as the exclusive provider of its proprietary curriculum and associated resources, with a mission focused on supporting young people from low-income communities. The organization offers a unique portfolio of products including online courses, digital resources, and national business plan competitions, with a specific focus on developing entrepreneurial mindsets and preparing students for post-secondary experiences. While no specific budget range is explicitly stated in the documents, the procurement suggests a comprehensive program covering curriculum development, teacher training, student support, and digital learning resources. The contract appears to be specifically tailored for Hillsborough County Public Schools, with NFTE serving as the sole source vendor for these specialized entrepreneurship education services.
