About this opportunity
Martha's Vineyard Regional High School District (MVRHSD) is conducting an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the sale of two surplus 2016 Bluebird Buses located in Dukes County, Massachusetts. The procurement is a surplus vehicle sale where the buses will be sold "as is" with all sales being final. Interested bidders must submit sealed bids by October 9, 2025, at 4:15 PM Eastern Standard Time, with submission options including placement in the secure drop box at 4 Pine Street, Vineyard Haven, MA 02568, or direct submission. Vehicle inspections are available by appointment only through Troy Vanderhoop, Transportation Manager, who can be contacted at 508-560-2003 or troy.vanderhoop@mvyps.org. Potential buyers must request bid documents by emailing Jocelyn Broadley at jbroadley@mvyps.org, and bids must be submitted separately for each vehicle. The vehicles must be removed from the property by Thursday, October 23, 2025.
The solicitation does not indicate specific set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise requirements, or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond to the bid. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are mentioned in the documentation. The procurement appears to be an open, competitive sale without specific pricing guidance or predetermined budget ranges. MVRHSD reserves the right to reject any or all bids, maintaining flexibility in the sales process. The surplus buses are being sold without additional infrastructure or technology integration requirements, presenting a straightforward asset disposition opportunity for potential buyers interested in acquiring used school transportation vehicles.
