About this opportunity

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for a multipurpose lubricant with specific technical specifications, identified by solicitation number 2096124. The procurement seeks a lubricant that operates effectively between -45F and 450 degrees, packaged in 32 oz. containers with PTFE composition. The procurement is formally posted through the Bonfire registration platform, which requires vendors to initiate a "Prepare Your Submission" process to access detailed bidding information. The solicitation is specifically targeting Dallas County, Texas, with a bid submission deadline of October 23, 2025. Vendors must comply with specific freight and delivery terms, including FOB Destination shipping with freight costs included in the overall pricing. The bid requires comprehensive documentation, including triplicate invoices containing specific purchase order details such as item numbers, descriptions, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. DART has established strict delivery performance expectations, with time and rate of delivery considered essential contract elements that could result in rejection or default termination if not met.

The procurement appears to be open to all qualified vendors, with no specific set-aside designations mentioned in the available documentation. DART has established standard payment terms of Net 30, meaning invoices will be processed and paid within 30 days of receipt of invoice or order. The attached Purchase Order Terms and Conditions document indicates robust legal protections for DART, including requirements for sellers to provide merchantable quality goods, comply with product specifications, and meet federal, state, and local regulatory standards. The terms also include provisions related to equal opportunity requirements and certifications regarding foreign terrorist organizations. While specific budget ranges are not explicitly stated, the solicitation suggests this is a standard operational procurement for maintenance or technical lubricant supplies. Vendors must be prepared to meet comprehensive legal and operational requirements, including potential compliance checks and certifications outlined in the detailed terms and conditions document.
