About this opportunity

Eaton Rapids Public Schools is soliciting moving services through this Request for Proposal to relocate classroom materials, furniture, and supplies across five school buildings within the district. The services include disassembly and reassembly of modular furniture, packing materials, facility and item protection, and coordination with updated floor plans provided by the school district. The four separate relocations are from Greyhound Intermediate School to Eaton Rapids Middle School; from Lockwood Elementary to Greyhound Intermediate School; from Greyhound Central Elementary to Lockwood Elementary; and from Greyhound Early Learning Center at Union Street to Greyhound Central Elementary. Material delivery is scheduled for March 30 through April 3, 2026, with classroom moves occurring between June 10 and June 30, 2026. A mandatory pre-bid meeting and facility walkthrough will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the Administration Building located at 912 Greyhound Drive, Eaton Rapids, Michigan. Sealed proposals in three copies must be submitted to Mr. Kevin Dufresne by Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 2:00 PM local time, with public opening and reading of proposals on the due date. Pricing must be submitted on a lump sum basis with separate costs for each of the four relocations, and offerors must provide hourly rates for additional services including standard and overtime rates for multiple shifts and monthly storage fees.

The successful services provider must provide certificates of insurance including Workmen's Compensation with Employer's Liability, Comprehensive General Liability with minimum combined single limits of $1,000,000 for bodily injury and property damage, and Comprehensive Automobile Liability with identical minimum limits. All proposals shall remain irrevocable for a minimum of sixty calendar days following the proposal due date, and proposers must submit an Iran Economic Sanctions Act Certification. The RFP does not specify set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise requirements, or incumbent vendors. The contract will be memorialized using the Form of Contract provided as Attachment F, subject to review and approval by the Owner's legal counsel. The services provider is responsible for all costs associated with repairing, replacing, and restoring property damaged during the move process, and the Owner retains the right to withhold payment until full compensation for damage is received. No specific award value or budget range is disclosed in the available documentation.
