About this opportunity
The State of Maine is requesting bids on Motorola HT1250 portable two-way radios with a due date of January 6, 2012. In case of tie bids, the State grants preference to in-state bidders or those offering commodities produced or manufactured in Maine.
The Motorola HT1250 is a conventional and PassPort trunking portable radio with 128 programmable channels, dual priority scanning, and support for multiple frequency bands (200 MHz, VHF 136–174 MHz, UHF 403–470 and 450–512 MHz, and 700 MHz). The radio features Quik Call II signaling, MDC-1200 and DTMF signaling capabilities, voice-operated transmit (VOX), and X-Pand voice compression. Power output ranges from 1 to 5 watts depending on frequency band. The unit meets Mil Spec standards 810C, 810D, and 810E and is intrinsically safe certified. Supplied configuration includes a Nickel Metal Hydride battery with approximately 8 hours of operation under a 5/5/90 duty cycle, an intelligent charger, belt clip, antenna, and operating instruction manual. Physical dimensions are 5.4 by 2.26 by 1.5 inches with a weight of 15 ounces. A standard 2-year manufacturer warranty is included; an optional accessory board is available.
Bidders must submit responses electronically with separate unit pricing for each item unless otherwise specified. Evaluation will be based on overall value to the State, including quality, conformity with specifications, delivery date, and cost. Cash discounts of 20 days or more are considered in evaluation; terms of less than 25 net will not be considered unless in the State's best interest. Delivery timelines must be stated in definite terms with all transportation charges and freight prepaid by the contractor unless otherwise specified. The State reserves the right to increase or decrease ordered quantities by up to 10% and to reject any or all bids. All deliveries must comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, including Maine's Chemical Substance Identification Law.
