About this opportunity
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for the procurement of a motor actuator, specifically a 36VDC unit with an 8-inch stroke (Item #2098971). This is a straightforward goods procurement posted on April 22, 2026, with a bid due date of April 29, 2026. Prospective vendors must register on the BONFIRE platform to access the complete bidding details and response tables. The procurement requires compliance with DART's comprehensive Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, which establish strict requirements regarding delivery schedules, quality standards, and documentation. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall quoted price, as DART does not accept FOB Origin or Prepay and Add arrangements. Invoices must be submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org and contain all specified information including purchase order number, item description, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. Delivery timelines and rates are considered essential to the order, with seller failure to meet specified delivery schedules subject to rejection and default termination by the Authority.
The procurement documentation does not specify set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise requirements, or restrictions on vendor eligibility, indicating this is an open competitive procurement available to all qualified suppliers. There is no indication of incumbent vendors, current contractors, or existing infrastructure requiring integration with this procurement. The goods must be of merchantable quality, suitable for intended use, and comply with all product descriptions and specifications referenced in the purchase order. Payment terms are Net 30, calculated from the later of invoice receipt or order receipt, with DART exempt from Texas state and local sales and use taxes. The specific award value or budget range for this procurement is not disclosed in the available documentation, though vendors should note that all applicable federal, state, and local taxes and duties must be included in quoted pricing.
