About this opportunity
California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) is requesting an offer for modified gaming systems and associated equipment to support mental health recreational therapy groups at California State Prison, Sacramento, with offers due June 16, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. PT and questions due June 12, 2026. This is a single-system specification with custom security modifications.
The scope requires a Nintendo Switch OLED Console with Wi-Fi and network connections disabled while maintaining Bluetooth functionality, housed in clear transparent plastic for security visibility. The package includes 29 specified digital game downloads, eight JoyCon controllers with clear housing, three DualSense wireless controllers, a 1TB microSD card, six controller charger docks, four Nintendo leg straps, one clear locking security case, and one USB-powered speaker. All hardware modifications to disable network connections and install clear housings are the contractor's responsibility. The contractor must provide a minimum 12-month warranty and supply loaner equipment during repair or maintenance periods.
Evaluation uses a Best Value methodology with pass/fail screening for administrative requirements compliance and offer completeness, followed by cost scoring (maximum 95 points) using a ratio formula where the lowest offered cost is divided by higher costs and multiplied by total cost points. Potential scoring applies for Small Business or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise certifications. Offerors must submit eight required attachments including cover letter, bidder declaration form, payee data records, Darfur Contracting Act certification, recycled-content certification, and GenAI disclosure forms. Payment is monthly in arrears upon invoice approval under the State of California's Prompt Payment Act. The agreement is contingent on Budget Act appropriations, and CCHCS reserves the right to extend the contract through formal amendment. Contract term duration is not specified in the solicitation.
