About this opportunity
The State of Maine, Military Bureau, Division of Purchases is soliciting sealed bids for a mobile tool station, with bids due September 17, 2009.
Bids must be submitted in sealed form to the State of Maine Military Bureau, Camp Keyes, Building #8, Augusta, Maine 04330 by the specified closing date and time. The procurement follows standard competitive bidding procedures with electronic bid opening and public tabulation after contract award. Bidders must submit separate unit prices for each item as specified, with all pricing inclusive of delivery to destination and applicable trade or quantity discounts. The State of Maine is exempt from Federal and Maine State Sales and Use Taxes, and quotations must exclude these taxes. Cash discounts of 20 days or more are evaluated in bid consideration; discounts under 20 days are not considered. All transportation charges, including freight and express delivery, must be prepaid by the contractor unless otherwise specified.
The Division of Purchases reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive formalities and technicalities, and increase or decrease quantities by up to 10%. Tie bids are resolved by awarding to in-state bidders or those offering Maine-produced commodities or services. Awards are made to the lowest responsible bidder based on best-value considerations including quality, conformity with specifications, delivery dates, and ultimate cost to the State. Contractors must comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations. Manufacturers and suppliers of hazardous chemicals must provide current material safety data sheets in compliance with Maine's Chemical Substance Identification Law.
