All three units must include a pump, cleaning brush, SCAQMD-approved cleaning solution, and metal construction, with a maximum voltage of 110 volts. One unit delivers to the Treatment Plant (2950 Redondo Avenue, Long Beach, CA 90806) and two units to the Operations Service Center (1731 East 33rd Street, Long Beach, CA 90807), with delivery required within 48 hours of contract receipt during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.).
Bi-monthly maintenance, performed on the first work day of each month, must include cleaning, inspection, solution removal and replenishment, routine maintenance, damage inspection and repair, and filter replacement. Emergency repair services must be responded to within two business days and are billed separately. Liquated damages are $50 per calendar day for failure to meet delivery or maintenance schedules. Contractor personnel must wear identification and LBWD visitor badges at all times.
Bidders must carry comprehensive general liability insurance of $1,000,000 per occurrence, automobile liability insurance of $500,000, and workers' compensation insurance naming the Board of Water Commissioners as additional insured. California prevailing wage requirements apply. The contract term is one year with no guarantee of minimum orders or usage quantities.
