About this opportunity
SUNY Upstate Medical University is soliciting sealed bids for medical coding services under Invitation for Bids S-1636, with questions due November 10, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. ET and bids due December 11, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. ET. Bidders must meet the minimum qualifications in Section 3(A), Mandatory Bidder Qualifications, of the IFB and must accept its terms and conditions. The procurement is in a restricted period under New York State Finance Law 139-j and 139-k (the Lobbying Law) until award, and the only permissible contact is the individuals named in the advertisement and the RFP. Violations can result in no contract or debarment from doing business with other New York State agencies.
New York State small businesses and businesses certified under Article 15-A of the NYS Executive Law and Article 3 of the NYS Veterans Service Law are encouraged to bid. This is an encouragement, not a set-aside. The source also references a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business goal, but the text is truncated and states no value.
Full requirements and specifications are published on Upstate's bid portal at upstate.edu/bid under Public Bids. The posting identifies the jurisdiction as Onondaga County, New York. It does not state a contract value, term, incumbent, or evaluation criteria.
