About this opportunity

Sacramento County Recreation and Parks Department is seeking procurement of a prefabricated modular building for the Mather Golf Course project through Request for Proposal (RFP) #2024-RFP-0422. The procurement involves acquiring an approximately 1,500 square foot modular building with specific interior requirements, including two offices, two fully functional bathrooms (one with a shower), a locker/storage room, and a break room/rest area. The successful bidder will be responsible for complete delivery and installation on an existing 24'x60' concrete slab, including all necessary hookups, tiedowns, leveling, and skirting to ensure a safe and habitable workplace. As an optional component, the county desires removal and legal disposal of the existing modular building and associated equipment. Key evaluation criteria will focus on pricing and ability to meet RFP requirements, with proposals to be submitted electronically through https://secure.procurenow.com/portal/saccounty. Critical dates include a question submission deadline of November 29, 2024, a response deadline of December 13, 2024 at 5:00 pm, and an anticipated contract award date of January 10, 2025.

The RFP demonstrates a preference for local and micro-businesses, with specific requirements for potential bidders including proof of insurance, warranty details, and compliance with environmental purchasing policies. Vendors must provide certifications of compliance with child support orders and submit non-collusion affidavits. While specific budget ranges are not explicitly stated, the procurement involves two primary pricing components: the modular building itself and its installation, with an optional line item for existing building removal. The project is located at Mather Golf Course in Mather Regional Park, which is registered with the Audubon International's Cooperative Sanctuary Program, and is designed to accommodate approximately 20 County staff members. Potential bidders are encouraged to contact Michael Doane for site viewing details, and the county will require comprehensive documentation including insurance certificates, warranty information, and standard contractual compliance documentation. The procurement appears to be open to various vendors capable of meeting the specific technical and operational requirements outlined in the RFP.
