About this opportunity
The state and local contract opportunity is for a wetland planting project in the Marsh Flow Way at Lake Apopka in Osceola County, Florida. The St. Johns River Water Management District is seeking a contractor to obtain and plant up to 7.74 acres of wetland vegetation, with a focus on ensuring the plants are free of exotic or invasive species and meet specific height and health requirements. The selected contractor will be responsible for completing the planting by the end of July 2022. Respondents must meet minimum qualifications, including proof of business registration in Florida and prior experience with similar wetland planting projects. Quotes will be evaluated based on the lowest responsive and responsible bidder that meets all qualifications, and the estimated budget for the work is $40,000. Quotes are due by 3:00 PM on June 16, 2022, and the District reserves the right to reject any and all quotes while providing notice of intended award decisions.
The procurement is not designated as a set-aside for any specific types of organizations. However, the District is a tax-exempt political subdivision of the state of Florida, and contractors should include an estimate of all applicable taxes and fees in their quotes, noting which are exempt under the District's exemption. There are no incumbent vendors or current contractors identified, and the procurement does not appear to require any specific technology or infrastructure integration.
