The selected contractor will be responsible for conducting market conduct examinations of insurance companies or other entities/persons regulated by the agency and authorized to transact business in Kentucky. Key duties include analyzing data, using Audit Command Language (ACL) software, examining company records and documents, and preparing detailed examination reports. Qualified applicants must meet the stated experience requirements. Proposals will be evaluated based on the outlined criteria, and the initial contract term is anticipated to be from September 2, 2024 through June 30, 2026, with options to renew for up to two additional two-year periods. Proposals are due by August 23, 2024.
The RFP does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The Department reserves the right to negotiate the compensation rate and other terms, and to reject any or all proposals based on the best interests of the Commonwealth. The RFP outlines the per hour payment rates for the various examiner roles, which are based on the travel distance from the examiner's residence to the examination site.
