About this opportunity

Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources is soliciting competitive quotes for manhole sections, rings, covers, and precast drainage structures on an annual contract with four one-year renewal options, with quotes due September 16, 2021 at 12:00 p.m.

The scope encompasses precast concrete drainage products organized into four sections: Section A includes manhole bottom sections, riser sections, reducers, eccentric cones, and flat tops in 2-foot, 3-foot, and 4-foot diameter configurations with approximate annual quantities ranging from 1 to 160 units; Section B covers manhole rings and covers from Vulcan Foundry and US Foundry, Kent Seal sealant, and precast charging services; Section C includes specialized round and square flat tops, adaptor plates, spillway components, and junction tops; Section D covers additional ring and cover options. All precast concrete structures must meet current Georgia Department of Transportation requirements with five-inch wall thickness, minimum four-foot inside diameter, and specified manhole step configurations. All rings and covers must be strapped and palletized for shipment. Bidders must provide a minimum of three references demonstrating similar project experience and complete the quote schedule with manufacturer specifications and delivery times.

The contract term begins January 1, 2022, or upon award, with pricing firm for the initial 12-month period. Bidders may propose percentage increases or decreases for the four renewal options. The successful bidder must deliver all items FOB Destination Prepaid and Allowed to the Department of Water Resources Central Warehouse within 72 hours of order placement, with damaged pieces replaced and redelivered within 72 hours. Contractors must comply with Georgia's Illegal Immigration Reform Enhancements for 2013 and provide a notarized Contractor Affidavit and Agreement. Questions are due September 8, 2021. The County reserves the right to reject any or all quotes, make awards to single or multiple bidders, or split awards.
