About this opportunity

The Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County (ACCGov) in the state of Georgia is seeking proposals for a Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) to augment its internal security team within the Information Technology Department. The MSSP will be responsible for 24/7 monitoring of the government's network, endpoints, servers, and remote users to detect and contain threats, as well as provide logging and reporting capabilities. The proposed contract period is one year with the option to extend for additional one-year terms. Proposals are due by 3:00 PM ET on January 25, 2024 and must include a separately sealed price proposal. ACCGov currently utilizes various security products including Sophos, Solarwinds, Cisco, Barracuda, and Veeam, and the selected vendor must be able to integrate with these existing tools. The MSSP will be expected to provide services to secure ACCGov's network, which includes approximately 2,000 users, 200 switches, 2 main firewalls, and 4,000 total devices.

The RFP does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The incumbent vendor, if any, is not mentioned. The estimated project range is between $150,000 and $200,000 annually, with no flexibility in the budget. The selected MSSP will be required to comply with insurance, safety, and other standard contractual requirements.
