No prevailing wages, certified payroll, or other specific labor requirements apply.
Proposals must include pricing for the complete base bid. Bids exceeding $50,000 must be accompanied by a certified check, money order, or bid bond from a Michigan-approved surety of not less than 5 percent of the base proposal sum. The successful contractor must furnish performance and payment bonds prior to execution, with costs included in the base proposal. Workers' compensation must meet Michigan statutory limits; commercial general liability, $2 million per occurrence; automobile liability, $1 million; and umbrella coverage, $2 million. The District will be named as additional insured. Proof of insurance is due within ten days of award; coverage lapses beyond fifteen days trigger automatic termination.
Proposals shall be submitted in a sealed envelope with one original and one copy; email submission is accepted. The project manager is dlp designs, with Daniel J. La Pan, AIA, as primary contact.
