About this opportunity

Palm Beach County Department of Airports is requesting sealed bids for LNA Southside Redevelopment Program Phase 3 at Palm Beach County Park Airport, with bids due October 6, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. and a mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit on September 15 at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. respectively. No DBE participation goal has been established; however, Palm Beach County encourages participation by all qualifying firms, including Small Business Concerns.

The scope encompasses approximately 2,500 square feet of airfield electrical vault expansion, including interior renovation and roof replacement; modifications to existing HVAC and Fire Protection systems; relocation of existing regulators, ALCMS control system, fiber optic cable, and power and communication wiring; and replacement of the standby emergency power generator as an additive alternate bid item. All bidders and subcontractors must be properly licensed or certified under Florida Statute Chapter 489 at the time of bid submission.

The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder for the total bid amount. Bid security of not less than 5% of the bid price is required in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, money order, or bid bond. The successful bidder must furnish Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price and certificates of insurance within 14 calendar days of notification.

The project is subject to mandatory federal contract requirements including the Davis-Bacon Act, Federal Fair Labor Standards Act, Copeland Anti-kickback Act, Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Build America Buy America Act, and Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards. Liquidated damages will be assessed for failure to timely complete the contract. Contract documents and drawings are available through the County's Vendor Self-Service Website beginning September 7, 2026; secure drawings require completion of a Non-Disclosure Agreement with AECOM, the Engineer of Record.
