About this opportunity
The State of Maine Department of Administrative and Financial Services, Office of State Procurement Services, is soliciting quotations for two live haul tanks with bob tail style, double wall insulated aluminum construction on behalf of the Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife, with quotations due September 28, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time through the Advantage Vendor Self Service e-procurement system.
The scope calls for dual-compartment tanks measuring 52 inches wide by 84 inches long by 36 inches high, each inner compartment holding approximately 225 gallons, with complete welded aluminum construction, 2-inch polyurethane foam insulation, camlock ejection ports, slide gates, aerator brackets, screened air intakes, overflow holes, piano hinged lids, and lifting lugs at each corner. Bidders must submit complete assembly technical drawings for approval by Inland Fisheries & Wildlife prior to tank assembly and provide manufacture assembly drawings documenting compliance with all specifications. Bidders may propose equivalent specifications subject to final determination by the requesting department and must provide equivalency documentation.
Delivery is to the DIF&W Dry Mills Hatchery in Gray, Maine, after receipt of order. All quotations must be submitted on a Free on Board Destination basis with shipping charges included in the bid price. The State is exempt from federal, state, and local taxes and requests quotations without taxes applied. The State anticipates making one award, though it reserves the right to make multiple or no awards. Funds availability is not expected until mid-November 2026, and official award is contingent on fund availability. Awards will be made to the lowest-priced qualified bidder meeting all specifications and requirements. Quotations must remain valid and binding for 180 days from bid opening. The State reserves the right to negotiate the purchase of additional units at the bid price for six months after award and to reject bids from vendors with documented poor performance or contracts terminated or not renewed within the previous five years.
