About this opportunity
Lincoln Park Public Schools in Michigan is requesting sealed bids for technology infrastructure installation at Lincoln Park Middle School as part of Bid Package T-002 under the district's 2026 Technology Bond, with bids due November 2, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. and a mandatory pre-bid conference and building walk-through on October 14, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. The project is subject to Michigan prevailing wage requirements.
The scope encompasses structured cabling systems, wireless access points, 86-inch interactive displays, communications outlets, security camera infrastructure (owner-furnished equipment with contractor-provided patch cords), speaker and clock systems, and network distribution across multiple floors. All cabling must be Cat6 network standard with installation routed to a Main Distribution Frame or Intermediate Distribution Frames. The technology contractor is responsible for all incidental materials, labor, coordination of device outlet locations with architectural and casework drawings prior to rough-in, and verification that all systems comply with National Electrical Code standards. Cable installation must follow specified methods including J-hook supports, cable tray, or approved raceway systems with attention to radius of curvature and protection at bends. All cables must be plenum-suitable and free from physical damage, twists, kinks, or sharp bends upon completion. Contractor-provided 10-foot patch cords are required for each wireless access point.
The project completion date is August 25, 2028, with phased completion for specific buildings. All bids must include a 5% bid security and be accompanied by a sworn and notarized Familial Relationship Disclosure Statement and an Iran Sanctions Affidavit of Compliance; failure to include the disclosure statement results in bid rejection. The successful contractor must provide Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, each at 100% of the contract amount, issued by Michigan-licensed companies with an A.M. Best rating of B+ or better. Requests for interpretation are due October 16, 2026 at noon with responses by October 20 at 5:00 p.m. Post-bid interviews are anticipated for November 4, 2026, and Board award is anticipated for November 9, 2026. Bidding documents are available at https://solution.ids-michigan.com/bids/lpps/BP-T002.
