About this opportunity
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for the procurement of light-emitting diode (LED) signal gate sets, with item number 2099140, consisting of three units per set. This purchase order opportunity was posted on May 4, 2026, with a bid due date of May 11, 2026. The solicitation requires vendors to submit bids through BONFIRE registration, with access to project details and bid tables available upon initiating the submission preparation process. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall quoted price, and vendors must acknowledge DART's Net 30 payment terms, whereby invoices are paid 30 days from receipt of invoice or 30 days from receipt of order, whichever is later. Sellers are required to provide commercial warranties ensuring merchantable quality and compliance with specifications, and timely delivery is essential, with the seller's failure to deliver at specified times and rates serving as grounds for rejection and default termination. No specific site visits, bidders' meetings, or question submission deadlines have been identified in the available procurement documents.
The procurement documents do not specify set-aside designations or restrictions limiting responses to particular enterprise categories, nor do they identify incumbent vendors or current contractors. However, all vendors must comply with equal opportunity commitments and are required to certify that they are not identified on the Texas Comptroller's list of companies with foreign terrorist organization contracts and that neither they nor affiliated entities boycott Israel. The solicitation does not provide a stated budget range or award value; therefore, vendors should ensure their pricing is competitive and reflects the full cost of materials, labor, and delivery. DART retains authority to make changes to orders, terminate for default upon performance failures, or terminate for convenience in the Authority's best interest, and sellers are prohibited from assigning the order without written consent from the contracting authority.

In such event, the Seller shall be liable for damages, including the excess cost of reprocuring similar supplies or services or completing construction; provided that, if (i) it is determined for any reason that the Seller was not in default, or (ii) the Seller's failure to perform is without his and his subcontractor's control, fault, or negligence, the termination shall be deemed to be a termination for convenience under paragraph 12.
