About this opportunity
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for the procurement of a Light Assembly LED Strobe with Bulb (Item 2098911) through a purchase order process. This opportunity, posted on April 21, 2026, with a bid due date of April 28, 2026, requires vendors to submit proposals through the BONFIRE registration system, where bidders must access the in-browser BidTable to view complete project details and vendor response fields. The deliverable is a single light assembly component featuring LED strobe technology with integrated bulb functionality, intended for use in DART's transit operations. Vendors must meet strict delivery performance requirements, as the opportunity emphasizes that time and rate of deliveries are essential to the order, with failure to meet specified delivery timelines constituting grounds for rejection and contract default termination. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price, and vendors must comply with DART's standard purchase order terms and conditions, including warranty provisions ensuring supplies are of merchantable quality and suitable for their intended purpose. No specific evaluation criteria beyond delivery performance and price competitiveness are detailed in the available documentation.
The procurement documents do not explicitly identify any set-aside designations, minority or disadvantaged enterprise restrictions, or preferences for particular vendor classifications. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the provided materials. Vendors are required to certify compliance with equal employment opportunity regulations, confirm they are not listed on the Texas Comptroller's list of companies with foreign terrorist organization contracts, and verify that neither they nor their affiliates boycott Israel. Payment terms are established at Net 30, calculated from the later of either 30 days from invoice receipt or 30 days from purchase order receipt, with invoices submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org containing specified information including purchase order number, item description, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. No specific budget range or award value is provided in the posted opportunity materials, suggesting this may be a replacement or supplemental procurement with pricing determined through competitive bidding.
