The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, tools, travel, transportation, and dump fees for routine and non-routine septic tank pumping, cleaning, and legal disposal services at six specified Caltrans locations: Burma Road Maintenance Complex, San Francisco/Oakland Bay Bridge Toll Plaza (Administration Building and Tow Service), Dumbarton Bridge Toll Plaza, San Mateo/Hayward Bridge Toll Plaza, Richmond/San Rafael Bridge Toll Plaza, and Benicia/Martinez Toll Plaza. Estimated annual quantities total approximately 137,520 gallons across all locations, with per-location line items ranging from 3,600 to 34,560 gallons annually plus a 20,000-gallon allowance for non-routine services. Routine services operate Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; non-routine services are available 24 hours daily, seven days per week. Minimum qualifications require a valid Motor Carrier Permit from the California Department of Motor Vehicles, a Class A General Engineering Contractor license from the Contractors State Licensing Board, and current Department of Industrial Relations registration. Subcontracting is not permitted.
Pricing is per-gallon for septic tank pumping and disposal, with payment calculated only for gallons actually removed. A line item for parts, materials, supplies, fees, and permits is capped at 10% of the subtotal and reimbursed based on original receipts. The contract commences October 1, 2026 and continues through September 30, 2029. Prevailing wage requirements apply if the total bid amount exceeds $15,000. Written questions are due August 25, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Award is anticipated September 9, 2026.
