About this opportunity
Tohopekaliga Water Authority (Toho), an independent special district serving Osceola, Orange, and Polk counties in Florida, has issued Invitation for Bids (IFB-26-009) to procure lift station equipment for two specific locations: Lift Station 60P and Lift Station 62P. The procurement encompasses a comprehensive set of components including pumps, pump bases, base plates, power cables, control panels, floats, guide rails, float hangers, gaskets, transducers, and associated ancillary items necessary for fully functional lift station systems. Specific pump requirements include 460V, 3-phase, 60 Hz models with varying design points: for LS-60P, two pumps designed for 470 gpm at 138 feet TDH, and for LS-62P, two pumps designed for 350 gpm at 80 feet TDH. Bidders must provide detailed specifications, with options from manufacturers like Sulzer, Xylem, and KSB, and submit comprehensive documentation including references, delivery timelines, and mandatory forms. The solicitation requires vendors to demonstrate wire-to-water efficiency, comply with 2022 TWA Standards, and provide equipment from pre-approved manufacturers. Key dates include a question deadline of January 19, 2026 at 5:00 PM and bid submission deadline of February 5, 2026 at 2:00 PM through the Bonfire electronic portal.
The contract does not explicitly indicate specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, with the successful vendor required to execute the contract and provide extensive insurance coverage, including $1,000,000 in multiple liability categories. The contract term extends from execution through June 30, 2031, aligning with a five-year warranty for pumps and one-year warranties for control panels and other materials. While specific budget ranges are not disclosed, bidders must include all delivery charges, freight, handling, packing, and taxes as F.O.B. destination to specified locations in Kissimmee, Florida. The apparent low bidder must demonstrate qualifications and potentially provide three years of audited financial statements. Toho reserves the right to extend the contract for up to 90 days under the same terms. Vendors must maintain service facilities within six hours of the project site and provide factory-trained service representatives for a minimum of three site visits, including installation, startup, and post-acceptance instruction.
