The contract will cover a three-year period from August 15, 2025, through July 31, 2028, focusing on providing comprehensive lice inspection and treatment services for approximately 50-55 female cadets across six program cycles. The successful contractor must perform complete screening of all female cadets, treat moderate and extreme lice cases using non-toxic methods, and conduct follow-up inspections. Specific service requirements include inspections for all 55 cadets, treatment for up to 20 cadets with moderate lice cases, and treatment for up to 10 cadets with extreme cases per cycle. The Military Department has waived Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation requirements for this contract but will consider small business preferences. Contractors must self-perform at least 20% of the work and provide all necessary materials, labor, equipment, and insurance for service delivery. While specific award value details are not explicitly stated, the contract covers six program cycles over three years, suggesting a potential multi-cycle service arrangement. The procurement appears open to various qualified vendors who can meet the technical specifications and service requirements. Contractors will need to demonstrate capability in lice inspection and treatment, with a focus on non-toxic treatment methods and comprehensive cadet screening. The geographic scope includes multiple California counties and jurisdictions, though the service will be specifically performed at the Los Alamitos location.
