About this opportunity
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, through the Finance and Administration Cabinet and the Kentucky Department for Libraries & Archives, is issuing a Request for Bid (RFB) for the procurement of library shelving. The RFB seeks bids for 20 single-faced and 73 double-faced steel shelving units, as well as 2 single-facing and 8 double-facing steel end panels. The preferred delivery timeline is by December 1, 2021, with installation completed by December 20, 2021. Vendors are responsible for unloading, assembling, and installing the shelving units and must comply with COVID-19 safety protocols. The RFB will be awarded based on a best value ranking approach, with 90% weight on price and 10% on delivery time. Electronic bids are due by October 1, 2021 at 1:30 PM ET.
The Commonwealth will apply preferences for Kentucky resident bidders and qualified bidders, including Kentucky Correctional Industries and nonprofit agencies for the blind and disabled. The pricing quoted must be exclusive of federal excise taxes, as the Commonwealth is tax-exempt. The Commonwealth reserves the right to contract for large requirements through a separate solicitation and may consider past vendor performance in the award. The contract does not specify an initial term or renewal clause, and the Commonwealth is not bound to accept any exceptions to the stated terms and conditions.
