About this opportunity

Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is seeking to procure a lever, unlocking, operator, door, right-hand component through a competitive bidding process. The procurement is specifically located in Dallas County, Texas, and requires potential vendors to register through the Bonfire system to access detailed project specifications. The goods being procured appear to be a specific mechanical component, likely for transit infrastructure maintenance or vehicle repair. Vendors must submit bids reflecting FOB Destination shipping terms, with freight costs included in the overall price. The contract opportunity requires precise delivery timelines, with DART emphasizing that time and delivery rates are essential to the order. Potential vendors must submit their proposals by December 18, 2025, and must adhere to DART's standard purchase order terms and conditions. Submission requirements include detailed documentation such as item numbers, descriptions, sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals.

While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly detailed, the procurement documents indicate that vendors must comply with equal opportunity requirements and certify non-affiliation with terrorist organizations. Vendors are also required to confirm they do not boycott Israel. The payment structure is established as Net 30, with invoices to be submitted electronically to APInvoices@dart.org in triplicate, with one copy marked as "Original". DART reserves the right to terminate the contract for default if vendors fail to perform within specified timeframes or for convenience when deemed in the agency's best interest. Although the exact award value is not specified, the procurement suggests a focused, potentially low to moderate-value contract for a specific mechanical component. Vendors must ensure their products meet merchantable quality standards and are suitable for the intended use, with all supplies complying with product descriptions and specifications referenced in the purchase order.
