About this opportunity
The state and local contract opportunity is a procurement by the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) for a specific lever component, identified by the part number CWAS-LRV-LH-6259B and reference number 2094675. The opportunity was posted on August 25, 2025, with a response deadline of August 27, 2025. Potential vendors must register through the Bonfire platform to access complete bid details and submission requirements. DART mandates that all bids reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price, emphasizing that delivery timing and rates are critical to the contract's success. Vendors must submit detailed invoices electronically to APInvoices@dart.org, including specific information such as purchase order number, item descriptions, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. The procurement process requires strict adherence to DART's Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, with potential for rejection or default termination if delivery specifications are not met.
No specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises were explicitly mentioned in the provided documentation. The contract appears to be open to standard commercial vendors capable of providing the specified lever component. Payment terms are standardized at Net 30, with invoices processed 30 days from receipt of invoice or order. The procurement includes standard compliance requirements, such as certifications that vendors do not have contracts with foreign terrorist organizations and do not boycott Israel. While a specific award value was not disclosed, the procurement seems focused on a specific technical component for DART's operations. All contractual rights and obligations will be governed by Texas law, with any potential legal disputes to be resolved in Dallas County. Vendors must be prepared to meet DART's rigorous technical and logistical requirements, including precise delivery schedules and comprehensive documentation.

DART does not typically accept FOB Origin or Prepay and Add terms. **Delivery Terms Notice -** Time and rate of deliveries are of the essence of this order. Invoices shall be submitted (APInvoices@dart.org) in triplicate (one copy shall be marked 'Original"), unless otherwise specified, and shall contain the following information: purchase order number; item number; purchase order description of supplies, services, or construction; sizes; quantities; unit prices; and extended totals. In such event, the Seller shall be liable for damages, including the excess cost of reprocuring similar supplies or services or completing construction; provided that, if (i) it is determined for any reason that the Seller was not in default, or (ii) the Seller's failure to perform is without his and his subcontractor's control, fault, or negligence, the termination shall be deemed to be a termination for convenience under paragraph 12. As used in this provision, the term "subcontractor" and "subcontractors" means subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers at any level.
