About this opportunity
Rockland County Department of Community Development is requesting proposals for lead abatement and remediation services and consulting under a qualified supplier list (QSL) agreement, with proposals due July 9, 2026. This is a re-issued RFP under an open-enrollment clause; contractors already awarded under the prior issuance need not resubmit.
The scope encompasses full lead abatement and remediation services for eligible rental units under the County's Lead Prevention Pilot Program. Deliverables include inspections, risk assessments, hazard identification and consultation, and removal of all friction surfaces identified as lead hazards and remediation of other lead hazards within units. Encapsulation does not qualify as abatement under the program requirements. Selected contractors will receive detailed scopes of work for individual units and will submit quotes and completion timelines for each job; the County will then select a qualified contractor from the list to execute the work.
Contractors must be licensed professionals capable of performing full lead abatement and remediation services. No specific contract value, term length, or estimated volume is stated. The County of Rockland will work directly with awardees on a unit-by-unit basis as eligible properties are identified through the pilot program.
