About this opportunity
Georgia State University (GSW) issued an electronic Request for Quotes (eRFQ) on March 4, 2026, with a response deadline of March 24, 2026, to procure laundry services for its residential housing facilities serving the on-campus student population in Terrell County. The procurement seeks one qualified supplier to provide commercial-grade washer and dryer equipment, installation, scheduled maintenance, and ongoing service operations. GSW explicitly does not wish to own the equipment, making this a service-based contract where the vendor retains equipment ownership and responsibility. Key deliverables include the provision of fully operational laundry facilities with regular maintenance scheduling and responsive service support to ensure continuous availability for student use. Prospective vendors must meet pre-qualification requirements, including mandatory attendance at a Bid Site Meeting, and responses will be evaluated based on criteria established within the eRFQ documentation. The procurement follows the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq.), with preliminary results to be publicly announced following the March 24, 2026 deadline, subject to a formal protest resolution process before final contract award.
The RFQ documentation does not specify any set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises, minority-owned businesses, or other restricted vendor categories, suggesting this is an open competition available to all qualified suppliers who meet the mandatory pre-qualification requirements. No incumbent vendors, current contractors, or existing infrastructure integration requirements are identified in the procurement notice. Similarly, the document does not disclose a specific budget range or award value for this contract opportunity. Interested suppliers should obtain the complete eRFQ documents and attend the mandatory Bid Site Meeting to confirm eligibility requirements, detailed specifications, evaluation criteria, and any financial parameters associated with this procurement.
