About this opportunity
Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is requesting proposals for landscaping and lawncare services at Islander Housing facilities with proposals due July 31, 2026. A Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) subcontracting plan with a 13.06% participation goal is required.
The scope covers maintenance at two locations: Ward Island on main campus (300 apartment units and 687 residence units) and Momentum Village (220 apartments and 48 townhomes). Services include minimum 30 mowings annually, edging, debris removal, seasonal cleanups (spring and fall), resident move-in preparations (August), and Islander Family Weekend preparations (October). Respondents must submit four references from clients within the past three years, with preference given to higher education and public sector entities within the Texas A&M University System.
The contract period runs September 1, 2025, through August 31, 2026, with an option to extend for four additional one-year periods. Annual fee adjustments are permitted based on the Employment Cost Index not to exceed 3.75% annually, with cost increases limited such that no fee reduction results from negative adjustments. Pricing proposals must be submitted on the designated Pricing Proposal form with detailed breakouts for regular maintenance, spring cleanup, fall cleanup, resident move-in preparation, and Islander Family Weekend preparation.
Proof of insurance is required: workers' compensation ($1,000,000 statutory limits), commercial general liability ($1,000,000 per occurrence), auto liability ($1,000,000), umbrella liability ($5,000,000), cyber liability ($2,000,000), and professional liability ($1,000,000). Selection criteria include demonstrated competence, reasonableness of proposed fees, quality of service, experience, and ability to meet HUB participation requirements. Respondents may take exceptions to the draft Master Services Agreement terms, though exceptions may affect evaluation or result in disqualification. Submissions are required through the AggieBid portal.
