About this opportunity

The Washington State Convention Center Public Facilities District (Seattle Convention Center) is requesting proposals for general landscape maintenance services at its campus facilities, with proposals due October 13, 2026, and a mandatory pre-proposal conference and walk-through on September 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. The SCC strongly encourages minority- and women-owned business participation with voluntary goals of 10 percent for MBEs and 6 percent for WBEs, though no preference will be given in evaluation and no minimum participation is required.

The scope includes landscape upkeep, tree care, irrigation system maintenance, and as-needed repairs across the SCC campus. Proposers must submit a monthly lump-sum cost for services and an hourly rate for additional authorized work, with pricing excluding Washington State retail sales tax. The contractor must comply with Washington State prevailing wage requirements under Chapter 39.12 RCW and WAC 296-127 for King County as applicable at proposal submission.

Proposers must have a minimum of five years of experience in landscape maintenance services of similar scope and must be licensed or registered to do business in Washington State. Required insurance includes Commercial General Liability of not less than $1 million per occurrence, Employers Liability of $1 million per accident, Workers' Compensation as required by Washington State, and Business Auto Liability of at least $1 million per occurrence.

The contract runs from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2029, with the SCC reserving the right to extend for two additional one-year periods. Evaluation assigns 20 points to the technical proposal, 20 points to the management proposal, 50 points to the cost proposal, and 10 points for references, with up to 15 additional points available from interviews with top-ranking finalists. The apparent successful proposer will be announced on or about November 3, 2026, with contract negotiation from November 3–18 and board approval on December 8, 2026. Written questions are due September 30, 2026, by close of business, with responses issued by October 5. Proposals must be submitted electronically through Bonfire at seattleconventioncenter.bonfirehub.com or in hardcopy to the RFP Coordinator at 705 Pike Street, Seattle, Washington. Pricing must remain firm for 60 days following receipt.
