About this opportunity

Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is seeking to procure miniature switchgear lamps, specifically Test #755, in boxes of 10 units for its operations in Dallas County, Texas. The procurement opportunity is focused on an urgent requirement, with award determination based on a combination of pricing and lead time considerations. Vendors must register through Bonfire to access detailed bid specifications and submit responses. The solicitation requires all bids to reflect FOB Destination shipping terms, with freight costs included in the overall pricing. Submission deadline is December 8, 2025, with the opportunity initially posted on December 3, 2025. Potential vendors must adhere to strict delivery terms, understanding that failure to meet specified delivery schedules could result in rejection and default termination by DART. Key evaluation criteria include competitive pricing and rapid lead times, with a emphasis on timely and complete fulfillment of the order.

No specific set-aside designations or restrictions on respondent organizations were explicitly detailed in the provided documentation. Payment terms are standardized at Net 30, with invoices required to be submitted electronically to APInvoices@dart.org and including comprehensive documentation such as purchase order number, item specifics, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. While no incumbent vendors were mentioned, the procurement is governed by DART's standard Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, which include provisions for commercial warranties, equal opportunity employment requirements, and compliance with Texas law. The contract will be administered with Dallas County as the designated venue. Although a precise award value was not specified, the procurement appears to be for a specific quantity of miniature switchgear lamps, suggesting a potentially modest but strategically important procurement for DART's operational needs.
