About this opportunity
Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners is issuing a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the purchase, delivery, and installation of two lactation pods to support breastfeeding accommodations at County facilities. The procurement seeks quotations for BrighterBooth Breastfeeding Pods or substantially equivalent units that meet specified technical requirements, including ADA compliance, ventilation systems, acoustic panels, adjustable LED lighting, and defined dimensional specifications. The pods must be delivered and installed at two separate County locations: the North County Courthouse at 3188 PGA Boulevard, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and Airport Center I at 100 Australian Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida, with completion required within 120 days of purchase order issuance. Quotations must be submitted to the Purchasing Department at 50 South Military Trail, Suite 110, West Palm Beach, Florida 33415, via fax or email no later than August 11, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. Palm Beach County Local Time. The unit price quoted must be a single, fixed price inclusive of all supervision, labor, equipment, materials, tools, machinery, transportation, freight, and other facilities necessary to complete the work, with pricing to remain firm for ninety days from opening and throughout the initial and any subsequent contract terms. Award will be made on an all-or-none basis to the lowest responsive and responsible quoter, contingent upon meeting Small/Minority/Women-Owned Business Enterprise (S/M/WBE) participation requirements and local preference provisions.
This procurement includes mandatory S/M/WBE participation requirements, with all quoters required to submit completed Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 forms detailing subcontractor participation plans. A 5% local preference discount is available for quoters maintaining a permanent place of business in Palm Beach County, and an additional 5% Glades local preference discount applies to businesses providing services within the Glades area. All quoters and subcontractors must be registered in the County's Vendor Self Service (VSS) system prior to contract finalization. The successful quoter must maintain Commercial General Liability Insurance of at least $500,000, Business Auto Liability Insurance of at least $500,000, and Workers' Compensation Insurance as mandated by Florida Statute Chapter 440. Payment will be rendered only upon the County's acceptance and sign-off of completed installation by the designated County representative. No incumbent vendors or budget range is specified in the procurement documents.
