Kennesaw State University (KSU) is issuing an electronic Request for Proposals (eRFP) under the State Purchasing Act to establish a comprehensive service contract for auditorium seating maintenance and repair across university facilities. The procurement seeks a qualified supplier to perform annual inspections, preventive maintenance, and repair services for fixed, portable, retractable, and folding seating systems. Specific required services include detailed annual inspections of seating infrastructure, identifying deficiencies and recommended corrective actions, tightening fasteners, lubricating moving parts, adjusting seat mechanisms, and cleaning seating surfaces. The contract's primary objectives are to ensure seating safety, code compliance, and operational reliability for athletic programs and public gatherings. Proposals must be submitted by February 6, 2026, with the solicitation initially posted on January 16, 2026. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary labor, tools, materials, supervision, and equipment to execute the comprehensive seating maintenance program.
While no specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are explicitly mentioned in the document, the procurement appears to be open to qualified vendors capable of meeting the technical specifications and service requirements. The scope of work suggests a need for contractors with specialized expertise in auditorium and athletic seating maintenance, including knowledge of structural assessments, mechanical adjustments, and ADA compliance standards. The contract will cover seating across KSU facilities, indicating potential for a multi-site service agreement. Although no specific budget range is provided, the comprehensive nature of the required services suggests a significant annual investment in maintaining the university's seating infrastructure. Potential respondents should carefully review the full eRFP documentation to understand the complete technical requirements and evaluation criteria for this contract opportunity.
