About this opportunity

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for a control knob, item number 2099213, through a purchase order procurement process posted on May 8, 2026, with a submission deadline of May 15, 2026. The procurement is governed by DART's standard Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, which apply to all supplies, services, and construction procured by the agency. Bidders are required to register on the BONFIRE platform to access the complete bid details and bidtable, where project specifications and vendor response fields are located. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price, as DART does not accept FOB Origin or Prepay and Add arrangements. The seller must warrant that supplies are of merchantable quality, suitable for their intended use, and fully compliant with all product descriptions and specifications referenced in the purchase order. Time and rate of deliveries are essential to the order, and the seller's failure to deliver as specified constitutes grounds for rejection and default termination by the Authority. Payment terms are Net 30, with invoices submitted to APInvoices@dart.org in triplicate, and payment due 30 days from receipt of the invoice or 30 days from receipt of the order, whichever is later.

The procurement documents do not specify set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise restrictions, incumbent vendors, award values, or budget ranges. The contract is governed by Texas law with venue in Dallas County, and all vendors must comply with equal opportunity and ethics requirements. Sellers are required to certify non-association with foreign terrorist organizations and non-boycott of Israel as conditions of participation. The Contracting Officer retains authority to make changes to the purchase order with equitable adjustment for cost or time impacts, and possesses termination rights for both default and convenience. While specific qualifications for vendors are not enumerated in the available documentation, all suppliers must demonstrate their ability to meet DART's delivery, inspection, acceptance, and performance requirements as outlined in the standard terms and conditions.
