About this opportunity

The City of Valdosta is seeking sealed bids for the Knights Mill Lift Station Rehabilitation project, a comprehensive sewage infrastructure improvement initiative. The procurement is a Unit Price Contract with a 300-calendar day completion timeline, due by 10:00 AM on May 22, 2024, at the City Engineer's office located at City Hall Annex Building. The project scope includes extensive sewage infrastructure work, specifically the demolition and reconstruction of an existing sewage lift station, installation of approximately 230 linear feet of new gravity sanitary sewer, and reconnections to four sanitary sewer force mains. Additional project elements encompass water main fittings, appurtenances, grading, demolition, repair, patching, and grassing. Bidders can access complete specifications and contract documents on the City of Valdosta's website at http://www.valdostacity.com/bid-opportunities. Monthly payments will be made based on actual work quantities measured, with the unit price schedule covering all described work elements. Interested parties can obtain further information by contacting Charlie Clark, Engineering Project Manager, at (229) 259-3530.

While the contract documentation does not explicitly mention specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises, the procurement appears to be open to qualified contractors capable of executing complex municipal infrastructure rehabilitation work. The project is located in Georgia and involves Liberty County infrastructure, though the bid is being managed through the City of Valdosta. No incumbent vendors or specific technological integration requirements are detailed in the provided documentation. The contract appears to be a comprehensive infrastructure improvement project with substantial scope, though an exact budget range is not specified. Potential bidders should carefully review the full bid specifications to understand the complete technical requirements, submission guidelines, and project expectations. Contractors interested in this opportunity should possess significant experience in municipal sewage infrastructure rehabilitation, civil engineering capabilities, and the technical expertise to manage a multi-component infrastructure reconstruction project.
