About this opportunity

Kenosha County is seeking sealed bids for a Radio Towers and Equipment Shelters Project through Invitation to Bid #1905, with proposals due on April 1, 2019 at 3:00 PM CT. The procurement involves constructing two new radio towers with associated appurtenances, building two equipment shelters, and performing maintenance on three existing towers. A mandatory vendor pre-bid conference is scheduled for March 6, 2019 at 9:00 AM CT at the Kenosha County Purchasing Division, which will include site tours for prospective bidders. Complete bid packets are available for download from the county website, requiring vendor registration at no cost. The county reserves multiple procurement rights, including rejecting all bids, selecting the most advantageous vendor, requesting additional information, clarifying responses, awarding partial contracts, and waiving minor irregularities. Evaluation criteria are not explicitly detailed, but the county appears to prioritize comprehensive responsiveness and overall project value.

No specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises are mentioned in the bid documentation. The procurement appears open to qualified vendors capable of executing radio tower and equipment shelter construction and maintenance services. While no incumbent vendors are identified, the project suggests modernization or expansion of existing communication infrastructure across Kenosha County, potentially including the Kellnersville Village jurisdiction. The county does not guarantee contract award, and no specific budget range or total project value is disclosed in the available information. Interested vendors must carefully review the complete bid packet, attend the mandatory pre-bid conference, and prepare comprehensive proposals that demonstrate technical capability, construction expertise, and understanding of the county's specific communication infrastructure requirements.
