About this opportunity
Kenosha County is seeking sealed bids for a comprehensive Ceremonial Courtroom Restoration project at the Kenosha County Courthouse located in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The procurement involves multiple bid packages covering various trades, including structural steel, general trades, historic wood repairs, restoration of historic finishes, plaster restoration, historic lay lights, floor coverings, painting, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 4/10/2025 at 11:00 AM at the project site, specifically required for contractors bidding on historic-related packages (6.10, 7.00, 7.75, and 8.00). Bids must be submitted to Camosy Construction Company by 4/24/2025 at 2:00 PM CT, with all submitted bids required to remain firm for 60 days after the official opening. Bid packets can be obtained at no cost from Camosy Construction, with electronic files available and printing costs to be covered by the bidding contractor. The County reserves significant discretionary rights, including rejecting any or all bids, selecting the most advantageous vendor, requesting additional information, and waiving minor irregularities.
No specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises were explicitly mentioned in the procurement documents. The County has not guaranteed that a contract will be awarded, maintaining flexibility in the selection process. While no incumbent vendors were identified, the project appears to focus on restoring a historic courtroom, suggesting potential complexity and specialized historic preservation requirements. Bid packages cover a wide range of trades, indicating a comprehensive restoration effort that likely requires vendors with specialized skills in historic building restoration. The lack of a stated budget range suggests that pricing will be determined through the competitive bidding process, with potential variations based on the specific scope and condition of the historic courtroom. Interested contractors can obtain complete bid specifications by contacting Camosy Construction directly through their provided contact information, with particular emphasis on historic trades requiring mandatory pre-bid meeting attendance.
