About this opportunity
The State of Maine Division of Purchases is requesting quotations for K9 heat alarms under RFQ, with quotes due June 4, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. local time.
Bidders must submit electronic quotes with unit prices for each item as specified. Supporting documentation may be submitted via fax or mail prior to bid opening. Alternate bids or proposals on alternate commodities are permitted if accompanied by complete identification and descriptive literature.
Award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder offering the best value to the State, with consideration given to quality of goods, conformity to specifications, delivery dates, and overall economy. The Division reserves the right to reject any or all quotes, waive formalities and technicalities, and accept items in any combination deemed in the State's best interest.
All transportation charges, including freight and express delivery, must be prepaid by the contractor unless otherwise specified. Bidders should specify cash discounts and payment terms; only discounts of 20 days or more will be considered in award determination, and terms of less than 25 net will not be considered unless in the State's best interest. Unit prices govern in case of discrepancy with total prices.
The State is exempt from Federal taxes and Maine State Sales and Use Taxes; quotes should reflect these exemptions. In case of tie quotes, preference is given to in-state bidders or those offering commodities produced or manufactured in Maine.
The Division reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities by up to 10% unless otherwise stated. Contractors must furnish items exactly as specified on the Purchase Order; any deviation constitutes grounds for rejection.
All questions must be submitted through the designated Question and Answer link on the Solicitation Details View page. Responses will be posted on the same platform, and vendors are responsible for regularly reviewing updates.
