About this opportunity
Florida SouthWestern State College is seeking qualified professional engineering firms through a Request for Qualifications (RFQ 25-07) for Job Order Engineering Services across its campuses in Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Glades, and Hendry counties. The procurement is focused on obtaining engineering firms to provide ongoing services for various renovation and remodeling projects, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, civil, structural, and related tasks. Respondents must be licensed in Florida, hold all necessary professional licenses, and maintain an operational office within the immediate five-county service area. Key procurement dates include a vendor question deadline of September 5, 2025, and a response submission deadline of September 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM ET. Evaluation criteria will likely emphasize relevant experience, professional licensing, geographical proximity, and the ability to handle diverse project scopes. Vendor registration is mandatory through the BidNet Direct platform, which provides access to all RFQ documents and submission requirements.
The solicitation does not explicitly mention specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. Selected engineering firms will not be required to compete against each other for compensation; instead, the FSW Facilities Department will assign projects based on factors such as workload, project suitability, and other relevant considerations. While specific budget ranges or award values are not detailed in the provided documentation, the procurement suggests ongoing, multiple-project engagement across various campus locations. The contract appears designed to establish a pool of pre-qualified engineering firms that can be called upon for job order engineering services as needed. Firms will be expected to demonstrate capacity to handle projects involving multiple construction trades and subcontractors, with an emphasis on renovation and remodeling work across the specified county campuses.
