Bidders must hold a valid Class B General Building Contractor's license. Bid security of $200,000 (10% of maximum contract value) is required as cash, certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond. The successful bidder must furnish payment and performance bonds each in the amount of $2 million, increasing to 100% of outstanding orders if aggregate job orders exceed $2 million. The contract is federal aid with a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise contract goal of 0% at bid, requiring good faith effort documentation submitted 15 days prior to bid opening. Prevailing wage requirements, "Buy America" provisions, state contract nondiscrimination requirements, and a 5% retention apply.
