About this opportunity

The City of Jacksonville, Florida, Public Works Department is soliciting sealed bids for apron and driveway repairs at Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department Fire Station #57, with bids due October 29, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. EST. This is a JSEB Set Aside requiring all bidders to be JSEB-certified at time of bid opening and the prime contractor to perform at least 40% of total work with its own workforce — a restrictive eligibility gate.

The scope comprises site preparation, concrete driveway replacement, curb and gutter replacement, sodding, temporary traffic control, erosion control, and pollution abatement across two line items: Base Bid Part A (Rear Driveway Replacement) and Bid Alternate 1 Part B (Front Driveway Replacement). All unit prices must include freight, delivery, handling, and applicable state and local sales taxes; the City of Jacksonville is tax-exempt.

The contractor shall commence work within ten calendar days of notice to proceed and complete base bid work within 60 calendar days, with alternate work completed within 45 calendar days of the new rear driveway reaching required strength. The contract term is a one-time purchase commencing upon execution and continuing until completion and acceptance.

Bid security equal to 5% of the bid amount is required as a bid bond or certified check. Performance and payment bonds of 100% of the contract amount are required upon award. A pre-bid conference is scheduled for October 6, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. via Microsoft Teams. Questions are due October 16, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Responses must be submitted electronically through the 1Cloud Supplier Portal.
