Jackson Demonstration State Forest Management Plan

The state of California, through the California Department of Forestry & Fire Protection (CAL FIRE), is seeking a contractor to provide consulting services to manage the public review process and guide the development of a revised/new Forest Management Plan for the Jackson Demonstration State Forest (JDSF) in Mendocino County over the next 10-year period. The selected contractor will be responsible for compiling and reviewing existing data, facilitating public and tribal meetings, developing a draft and final forest management plan, and supporting the review process with the Board of Forestry and Fire Protection. The RFP specifies a budgeted allocation of $750,000 for the resulting 24-month contract.

This opportunity does not have a Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) goal, but DVBE participation is encouraged, and a DVBE incentive may apply. The RFP also allows for small business and microbusiness preferences. There is no information provided on incumbent vendors or current contractors, and the RFP does not mention any existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration.
