About this opportunity
The City of Dunwoody is soliciting sealed bids on the Dunwoody Rebid Trailway Wayfinding Project for the Department of Public Works, with bids due July 16, 2026 and a pre-bid conference on June 30, 2026.
The scope comprises site preparation, monument sign installation, lighting, and landscaping at 13 primary locations, plus an add-alternate option for granite base design at 9 of the 13 locations. All work must comply with construction documents prepared by TSW dated March 25, 2026. The contractor must mobilize within 10 days of notice to proceed (expected in July 2026) and complete all work within 180 consecutive calendar days.
Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The contractor must be a licensed general contractor with at least five years of experience in similar work and must demonstrate financial ability to perform. A valid City of Dunwoody business license is required; out-of-city or out-of-state contractors must provide evidence of a Georgia certificate to do business. The contractor shall perform at least 35 percent of total contract cost with its own organization, with the remainder eligible for subcontracting.
Insurance requirements include commercial general liability of $1,000,000 per occurrence, auto liability of $1,000,000, workers' compensation, employers' liability, and umbrella liability of $1,000,000. Contractors must submit a 5 percent bid bond with their sealed bid and, if awarded, furnish a 100 percent performance bond, 100 percent payment bond, and a 12-month maintenance bond.
Bids must be submitted in duplicate with bid schedule, compliance affidavits, qualifications certification, statement of bidder qualifications and references, corporate certificate, and subcontractor listing. Questions are due July 9, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. to John Gates, Purchasing Manager, at Purchasing@dunwoodyga.gov. Bids remain valid until October 14, 2026. Failure to complete work on time will result in daily liquidated damages.
