About this opportunity
The City of Lubbock Fire Department has issued an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for Pest Control Services for its Fire Department Facilities. The ITB requests routine monthly pest control services and on-call emergency services to control insects, rodents, and other pests in specified fire department facilities. The routine services will be paid at a fixed monthly contract price per building, with unlimited service calls included. The City may add or delete buildings from the routine service schedule at any time. On-call and emergency services will be provided on an as-needed basis and paid on a time and materials basis. The services cover a wide range of pests, but exclude termites, carpenter ants, snakes, birds, and bats. Bids are due on July 2, 2024 prior to 2:00 PM. The contract will be for an initial one-year term with four possible one-year extensions. The City will consider the lowest responsible bidder or the bidder that provides the best value based on factors such as price, quality, reputation, and past performance.
The ITB states that the City is exempt from taxes and will not pay any additional fees or surcharges. Bidders must comply with HUB (Historically Underutilized Business) requirements, provide required insurance coverages, and complete conflict of interest disclosures. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The anticipated value of the contract is not specified, but the City may add or delete buildings from the routine service schedule, which could impact the total contract value.
